The Joshua Light Show, created by Joshua White, was a liquid light show displayed on film screens. It was known for its psychedelic art and served as a lighting backdrop behind many live band performances during the late 1960s and early 1970s. In particular, this was a staple at Bill Graham's Fillmore East and West venues and thus of course was a known part of the look of many Jimi Hendrix Experience shows. Kiss The Sky is delighted to be able to bring the Joshua Light Show backdrop to our live theatre concerts, rounding out a complete historical re-creation of our 60's era shows.

KISS THE SKY band members and cast are so talanted and 'Experienced' that actual former members of Jimi's own bands have performed on stage with them! Our own 'Jimi'... Mr. Jimy Bleu, even tours with Jimi’s bassist from the Band of Gypys, the famous Mr. Billy Cox! Enjoy these photos of KTS members jamming with 'Living Legends' from the famous Hendrix Woodstock band, THE SUN & RAINBOWS... Mr. BILLY COX, Mr. JUMA SULTAN and Mr. GERARDO VELEZ!

Being based in NYC allows KTS to have some special connections to Jimi Hendrix history. Hendrix not only lived in New York throughout much of the 60’s but he also built his own studio there in Greenwich Village... the famous ELECTRIC LADY STUDIOS. Also in Greenwich Village, Hendrix was discovered by Chas Chandler of the Animals while playing a residency at the now legendary club… CAFE WHA? which also was famous for Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen starting their careers there. Kiss the Sky has been honored to 're-create history' and take the same stage as Jimi at Cafe Wha? for a series of HENDRIX-HISTORY shows in front of our home town crowd.. NYC!
